Commercial Gas Engineer Tools
The test equipment and tools a commercial gas engineer uses — pressure gauges, flue gas analysers, gas detectors, purge kit and pipework tools — and why calibration matters.
Commercial gas work is only as reliable as the instruments behind it. A tightness test is meaningless with an uncalibrated gauge, and a combustion setting is guesswork without a working analyser. Larger installations also need equipment domestic engineers rarely carry, such as high-flow purge hoses, flare stacks and nitrogen kit.
These guides set out the tools we use on commercial jobs and what each one proves, so clients know what to expect from a competent engineer.
